Invisible Window Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Invisible Window (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that keeps tabs looking active when you switch away, and optionally blocks Canvas quiz leave-tracking network calls on matching quiz pages.

What we collect

The Extension does not collect personally identifiable information.

The only stored settings are local preference toggles:

Those preferences are saved with Chrome’s chrome.storage.sync API so they can sync across your own Chrome profile. They are not sent to Invisible Window servers (there are none).

What we do not collect

How the Extension works on pages

On websites you visit, the Extension injects scripts that adjust how the page reads visibility and focus APIs in your browser. On Canvas quiz URLs, it can block leave-tracking requests to Canvas submission event endpoints. That processing happens on your device. No page data is transmitted to an Invisible Window backend.

Permissions

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children’s data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
